Applicants applying for the India visa online and who are from eligible countries / territories can apply online 4 days prior to their arrival. The visa issued on arrival is only valid for a period of 30 days and for a single entry on the Indian territory.

You must carry a copy of the e Visa India with you when you travel.
When you arrive in India, you will take your biometric fingerprints and your photo from Immigration.
The validity of the eVisa India is 365 days from the date of issue.

Only two visa applications can be made on arrival per year. For all other types of visas, it is necessary to apply to the relevant outsourced service or embassies to process the visa applications.
The e-Visa is for single use, without any possible extension and not transferable and is not valid for visiting prohibited areas.

Be careful when making payment for your e-visa online. If you have made 3 or more attempts to pay, you may be blocked as such and you will have to reapply for an e-visa India and a new file ID number will be given to you.
Before re-applying for an online visa, wait 4 hours to update your payment after the final submission of your form. The update of the payment status can take up to 4 hours.
Nationals of countries affected by YELLOW FEVER must have their vaccination card when arriving in India, otherwise they may be quarantined for 6 days upon arrival in India. Please see the guidelines on the Ministry of Health and Family website for yellow fever countries.
